An exhibition on Ray Harryhausen is coming to Winchester this September.

Were you inspired by this legend of animation? Are his films part of your DNA?

For many of us, Ray’s special effects hold a special place in our hearts, so help us create a tribute to Ray’s films, creatures, and imagination. Take part in our exhibition at City Space, at The Arc, Winchester, 17 Sept-22 Nov 2026.

You can be: anyone living in Hampshire, Southampton, Portsmouth or the Isle of Wight – we're extending out of the city to make it a big, regional event. Any age, any ability.

You can submit: artwork in any medium: small sculpture/models, film, animation, written texts, paintings, drawings etc. It can be something new or old - even something you made when you were a child, there’s no date limit.

Your tribute to Ray could be designs for your own creatures, an epic landscape, a poster design for one of his films, an animation - anything that shows your love of Ray’s magical worlds of fantasy sci-fi.

Submissions are taken online and this closes on 31 August 2026.
